Admittedly, exploring the Wuhlheide is not an easy task. If only due to its area which covers 317 ha. But those who go on a foray will discover much more than the crowd-pullers of the FEZ-Berlin, Park Railway and the Parkbühne.

With its large natural deciduous forest areas and open meadows, the Wuhlheide invites you to rest both quietly and actively. Whether it is a forest walk, a jog or just chilling out on a meadow – all ages and temperaments get their money’s worth here, birdsong included. In many facilities, such as the Nature and Environment House, the preoccupation with nature – whether as recreational fun or an educational offer – also plays a major role.

Several areas are dedicated to active recreation in the form of games and sports. In addition to numerous playgrounds, the R1 cycle path and some long-established sports clubs – which are always looking forward to new members – there are also offers of trendy sports such as climbing or skating in the Wuhlheide. A real institution is the Equestrian Cente Berlin Karlshorst, which recently became the Inclusive Equestrian and Riding Therapy Centre as its neighbour. And it may surprise you but there are actually four ways to get “into the water” in the Wuhlheide.

In addition to the Parkbühne, the FEZ-Berlin, the Berlin Music Academy and the Model Park are primarily responsible for culture, education and entertainment. The Park Railway, which, like the FEZ, mainly attracts children and families, also has great entertainment value in the great outdoors.
