Nature and the environment are, if you like, the main themes in the Wuhlheide. With its diversified design of natural forest areas, meadows and sports areas in a green landscape, it attracts visitors – and captivates them. In the middle of the big city it is a habitat for rare plants, but also insects, birds and mammals. The preservation and protection of this natural area is therefore of great importance. It is thus only logical that the children’s and educational institutions located here should also deal intensively with nature and environmental issues.

The Park Management Wuhlheide is a project of the Economic Development Department of the Treptow-Köpenick District Office of Berlin in cooperation with the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Enterprises within the framework of the economic development programme Gemeinschaftsaufgabe “Verbesserung der regionalen Wirtschaftsstruktur” (GRW), financed from federal and state funds.
